The Gift

     Happy Holidays everyone!!!! The holidays are about giving and receiving. Very recently, today to be exact, I received a very interesting gift from a friend of mine. I wasn't really expecting it. While I was packing my stuff for the morning classes, she came up to my locker and said, "Here, take it. It's for you." I was like, " Awe, you didn't have to get me something." I said that because I wasn't planning on getting her a gift.  Then, she said, " Dude, don't get excited. It's a toothbrush." I asked," Is it used?" She joked and said," Yeah, I gave you a used toothbrush. Enjoy." My reaction was like this...

     This is how it all came to be. My friend asked me yesterday what I wanted. I said, "I don't want anything." We argued for a minute or two. Then, I told her, " I want a toothbrush." She asked, "Don't you already have a toothbrush?" I said," Duh but I want a new one." I said this because, I mean who would go to the store and gets their friend a toothbrush? I didn't want her to spend any money on me. The next day at school after our whole conversation,(refer to the first paragraph) she said, " I had a dentist appointment yesterday and my dentists gave me some toothbrushes, so I thought I should give one to you since you wanted it." She didn't spend any money on me which I was happy about. I probably would have liked to get anything other than a toothbrush but I grateful that she gave me something instead of nothing. She even wrapped it. Thank you Yasmeen. She said that I should get her toothpaste but I most likely won't. :)

Should The United States Ban Gambling?

     Gambling in the United States is a very debatable topic. There are both pros and cons for banning gambling in the United States. You can decide whether you are for or against it. Some of the benefits for gambling are that its taxes provide money for the economy so the economy will be better, it exercises your brain skills and it is also a good form of entertainment for people. People enjoy themselves by gambling. There are also some cons for making gambling illegal. There is always a chance that you could lose a lot of money, it can become a psychologically addictive behavior and it can cause problems in a family such as divorce, child neglect or suicide. Other than these pros and cons there are many more. As I said you are the one who decides what side you are on. Should gambling be illegal in the United States or should it be legal. Let me know in the comments on what your opinion is on this topic.

     I can answer this question. In the movies minions don't really speak English but they can show who they are through their actions. In every quote put next to a minion, the minion can act it our perfectly. Minions are put next to quotes especially because even if you don't read the quote, looking at the minion's face will just make you happy.

Quotes are life. Life gets hard sometimes and quotes really help. Some are inspirational and others are funny. Especially minion quotes. I love minions! Pinterest is usually where I find most of my quotes. They have like a million minion ones by the way. Make the best of things. It makes life a lot easier. This quote is probably one of the quotes that apply to me the most. I always the kind of person who would stay mad about one thing for like a week. This quote was the beginning of my love for quotes. YOLO. Make the best of it.

Thanksgiving

     Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. The main reason I like this holiday is probably because there is no school. Yay! Thanksgiving is day to reflect upon all that you are thankful for. I'm thankful for many things. Every year if someone asks me I would probably said I am thankful for food, shelter, family and friends. I guess everyone is thankful for those things.

     I realized that usually the little things are what makes me happy. I'm thankful for Black Friday because I get to go shopping. I'm thankful for my cinnamon caramel swirl scented candle because it always makes me smile when I smell it. I'm thankful for photo albums because they keep all my memories inside. Also, I'm thankful for my new heater(got it on Black Friday btw) in my room because my old one didn't really work. Lastly, I am thankful for something you wouldn't expect. I remember a quote but I don't remember where I got it from. It said, " be thankful for the difficult people in your life, for they have shown you exactly who you do not want to be." If there is someone who is being mean to you or if someone is annoying  just remember that they show you who you don't want to be.
